Your child’s school has partnered with The Center for Oral Health's Early Smiles California program to provide dental screenings to your child at no charge to you! The service will be performed by a licensed dental hygienist. The hygienist will screen your child’s teeth, provide a fluoride varnish treatment to help prevent tooth decay, and navigate your child to dental care (if needed). If your child is eligible, the hygienist will complete the Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment form and submit the form to your child’s school. You will receive your child’s screening results. Your child will also receive a free toothbrush kit. It's open to all 9-12 students at all 3 sites. Here is the link to the consent form: https://5il.co/2k9k2

The California Youth Empowerment Network, Trinity Together and HRN are working with a group of Trinity County transitional age youth called Trinity Youth Action Team. The main goal of this youth group is to come up with strategies to reduce anxiety by providing education and resources to staff and their peers. We are trying to survey as many Trinity County transitional age youth, 14-26, as possible so we can incorporate it into our action plan and to help reduce anxiety amongst Trinity County Youth. Hello THS class of 2024! This year the Annual Scholastic Awards Night will be on May 22nd at 6pm at the Trinity Performing Arts Center. Please mark your calendars for this special event. Guardians, if your student is receiving an award you will get an invitation letter in the mail in the next week or so. Go Wolves!!

The Trinity High School Players Present: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief! This week, from April 25-28, come on down to the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center to watch our talented students put on this incredible production that they have been working hard on all year with Director Monica Young-Zook! We are very excited to announce that she will be teaching Culinary Arts during the next school year! Congratulations Ashlie! Kayla Tofte is a new staff member for the 24-25 school year! Kayla will be joining us in the AG Science department! Welcome Kayla! We look forward to seeing the amazing work these ladies will do in the near future!

There has been a bear sighting in the Ag area by the barn. Local fish and game as well as authorities has been contacted. Be cautious and don't travel alone. We have bear spray for anyone that needs to be back in that area. We will provide communication if further information becomes available.

The Trinity FBLA chapter attended the California FBLA State Conference this last weekend in Anaheim. Six students competed in different events such as Hospitality, Marketing, and Public Speaking. One student, Senior Allie Johnston, placed 10th in Public Speaking! Congratulations Allie! The students then went to Disneyland as a reward for all of their hard work this year and for raising the funds to go. If any THS students are interested in joining FBLA for the 2024-2025 school year, please talk to Mrs. Cotten! (The State Conference is in Anaheim again the next 2 school years!)

The Annie Jr. play put on by our students is happening this Friday and Saturday, April 19th & 20th at 7pm at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center. Congratulations to Tori Geist & Caitlin Montgomery, our Girls Basketball Co-Head Coaches. Not only were they voted Coaches of the Year by the Shasta Cascade League. The dynamic duo was also just announced as the Northern Section CIF Girls Basketball Coaches of the Year! This makes the pair the first Trinity coaches to receive this honor in the 32-year history of the award, dating back to 1992. This award is voted on by members of the Chico Enterprise-Record, Red Bluff Daily News, Redding Record Searchlight, Marysville Appeal-Democrat, & the national sports publication MaxPreps.
